A Chiropractor Offers Complementary Therapy for Treating Fibromyalgia

Dana Poole from Atlanta, Georgia described the burning sensation she feels all over her body and the frustration of not being properly diagnosed and treated the first time. Previous doctors could not determine her illness, noting thinness and aging as probable causes of pain. Only recently did she get the right diagnosis of fibromyalgia.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition affecting around 6 million of the general population in the U.S. Nearly 90 percent are women, majority of them reporting its symptoms during early and middle adulthood. They complain of constant pain and fatigue, which produces poor quality of life.
